If you’re looking for something completely custom, we’ll guide you through the design process from floor plans to finishings - the only limit is your imagination. Bring along your ideas and inspiration and work with our team to come up with something that is uniquely yours.
Or, perhaps you’d prefer the inspiration of one of our many existing plans? This can be the springboard from which to design your dream home. All plans can be modified in any way to suit you. Extra bedroom? Easy. Larger kitchen and living? No problem. A home office or art studio? Consider it done.

Nigel has developed a vast knowledge of the construction and engineering industry. His career started in the late 80s after cyclone bowler devastated the east coast of New Zealand and machine operators were in high demand. His great work ethic and management skills quickly moved him through the ranks to project manage large jobs like lowering the depth of the harbour in Milford sound for cruise ships, extending the Wellington Harbour wharf and diverting the river flows below the chateau in the Tongariro national park.
Nigel went into business himself in 2001, with bobcats, excavators and other heavy vehicle services in the Manawatu. In 2005 he purchased the Higgins Concrete plant in Feilding and expanded to include landscape supplies.
Privately, Nigel has been developing subdivisions and project managing multiple duplex builds while honing his skills on the compliance side of the industry.
The purchase of the Sentinel Homes Franchise for the central North Island area was a natural progression, and something he's very excited about.
Nigel met Yuliia in Europe 7 years ago and after travelling around the world together they got engaged in Paris and she moved to New Zealand permanently two years later. Yuliia has a University degree in language and owned a large successful business in Europe teaching English as a second language. Her calm influence and analytical approach complement Nigel's practical abilities.
Sentinel Homes in the Manawatu is a family business. Nigel's oldest son Reuben is a qualified LBP builder of 9 years and oversees the construction of all our homes. He's detail oriented, and everything is built to an extremely high standard. Nigels cousin Barry brings a lifetime of sales experience, and helps make the whole build process as enjoyable and transparent as possible for our clients.
Born and Bred in the Manawatu, the team are all very proud to call this area home and realise the importance of making your build experience enjoyable.
